Px4 storm

The Beretta Px4 storm is a semi auto pistol for self defence and law enforcement uses. The Px4 uses short recoil rotating barrel mechanism, and is made using light weight polymers with steel inserts, a modular trigger group with fully enclosing slide, picatinny rail and interchangeable backstrap.

The trigger guard for Px4 is rounded for better concealed carry. Its being manufactured since 2004 to present, featuring 102 mm barrel length (full size).

It uses 9x19 mm parabellum, .40 S&W or .45 ACP giving muzzle velocity of 360 m/s (9mm)

The Px4 also features interchangeable luminescent 3 dot sight system, a short exposure to any light and the sight luminescence lasts up-to 30 minutes for use in low light situations. The picatinny rails can be equipped with light, or lazer sights.

The Px4 has many variants.

Px4 subcompact:
Its a subcompact version of Px4 chambered for 9x19mm parabellum and .40 S&W. It has double action/single action trigger. It is also said that it is the most advanced subcompact hand gun in existence.
Its light weight, has stainless steel barrel, has reversible magazine release button which can be set for both right handed and left handed shooters.

Px4 storm compact:
Its sized between full sized and subcompact variants of Px4. It uses rotating barrel design of full sized pistols but with shorter slide. A high magazine capacity is maintained with 15 round 9mm and 12 round .40 s&w. However it also accepts full sized magazines increasing capacity to 20 round 9mm and 17 round .40 s&w.

Joint Combat Pistol (JCP):
The Px4 available in .45 ACP is also designated as Px4 SD (special duty). The only notable differences in full sized Px4 and Px4 SD are desert tan frame colour, PVD coated magazines, internal fire control assembly, double recoil spring, and longer barrel to support use of suppressor.
